Massage therapy is a type of treatment in which a trained and certified medical professional manipulates the soft tissues of Your body — muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin — using varying degrees of pressure and movement.

Generally, massage is delivered to improve the flow of blood and lymph (fluid in lymph glands, part of immune system), to reduce muscular tension or flaccidity, to affect the nervous system through stimulation or sedation, and to enhance tissue healing. Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.

Therapeutic massage may be recommended for people in the following situations:

  • relieving muscle spasms

  • increasing joint and limb flexibility and range of motion

  • increasing ease and efficiency of movement

  • relieving points of tension and overall stress; inducing relaxation

  • promoting deeper and easier breathing

  • improving blood circulation and movement of lymph

  • relieving tension-related headaches and eyestrain, etc.

Energy Body Healing

I am an expert and practitioner in Reiki, Energy Body healing techniques.

Reiki is the ancient technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around You. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many people have reports miraculous results after the treatment.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Whilst prescribed medication often provides relief from our pain or problems, they may not solve the issues causing those problems.  Reiki treatments can create positive changes in body, mind and spirit, as it restores balance to the body, enabling it to heal itself.

Reiki treatments create positive changes in body, mind and spirit, as this wonderful energy works to restore balance, enabling healing to take place.

You may feel heat or tingling from my hands. Sometimes people see colours or feel they are floating, or very heavy.  Treatments vary, bringing a different experience each time as the cumulative effect of Reiki allows the body’s health to improve.

Conditions that benefit from Reiki include

  • Stress and Tension

  • Fatigue

  • Insomnia

  • Anger, Grief, Anxiety or Depression

  • Muscular aches and pains

  • Back pain

Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle therapy.  It is safe to use on anyone of any age.

You will benefit from a one-off Reiki treatment, which will bring a sense of peace and calm and you will feel some physical improvement too.  However, the effects of Reiki are cumulative so the best results come through having a course of treatments, about 6-8 sessions at regular intervals.

I am also Master of Usui Reiki System, and able to transmit initiations to I, II, and III Levels to everybody willing to acquire them.  Feel free to contact me !

Full Body Skin Care

Exfoliating Scrub & European Body Wrap

Remineralize and detoxify your body with the specialized treatment sure to ease your sore, tired and fatigued muscles. You will love to enjoy a warm exfoliating salt scrub, along with an application of nourishing European body wrap. As you are wrapped and kept warm, to encourage the release of toxins, you’ll enjoy a relaxing scalp massage.

A body wrap - also known as a ‘body cocoon’ or ‘body mask’ - is a spa treatment created to enhance the health and appearance of skin, and/or reduce body measurements. A nourishing oil or mineral-rich wrap formula is applied to the limbs and torso before they are wrapped in mylar bandages or a plastic film. This promotes the extraction of dirt, toxins and excess water from the skin.

While most wraps are performed on the entire body (minus the face and genital area), some - such as cellulite and bust wraps - are applied to certain areas alone.

The pampering experience of a body wrap can provide multiple benefits, depending on the type chosen:

Detoxification: Body wraps featuring detoxifying algae, seaweed, mud or clay can help rid the body of toxins through metabolic skin cell stimulation. As skin is your largest organ, detoxification of the epidermis can have a significant effect on your health and overall wellbeing.

Temporary inch and/or weight loss: Wraps with detoxifying ingredients teamed with firmly wound bandages will see you sweat out any excess water and toxins, and also tighten your skin. This can temporarily improve the contours of your body and see you lose a dress size or two.

Dead skin removal: Wrap treatments comprising an exfoliation stage will see dead skin cells lifted, providing you a smoother complexion top-to-toe and a flattering glow. You can choose to enjoy a body polish before your wrap if exfoliation is not included as part of your treatment.

Intensive moisturisation: The vast majority of wraps comprise moisturising ingredients to hydrate, nourish and smooth your skin for improved condition.

Relaxation: Once I fully wrap you up, you’ll be left to relax for up to 30 minutes. This will provide you with some valuable - and rare - mental and physical downtime.

A body wrap is often combined with other spa treatments, such as a body scrub and/or massage, to offer a comprehensive pampering session for the body.

A Scrub or body polish is a spa treatment which exfoliates the skin on your body leaving it feeling fresh, smooth, moisturised and soft. An abrasive product is rubbed vigorously, and massaged across and into your skin, and is then rinsed away to reveal a moisturised layer of fresh, clean and smooth skin.

Using a body scrub regularly will help make your skin look more vibrant and youthful. Benefits of body scrubs through the removal of dead skin cells as a result of exfoliation with a mild body scrub extend to moisturizing as it allows for the easy absorption of a skin moisturizerinto the healthy skin.

Just like the face, the body needs exfoliation, too. Scrubs should only be used one to two times a week, and rubbing in a circular motion is most effective as it helps to free ingrown hairs and is less abrasive than a back and forth movement.
